“After a long and unbelievably funky ride, Peer Pressure offers an epic Grand Finale before bidding a brief farewell to the Drake Underground. Think of it as a vacation of sorts, we’ll send postcards and make reappearances in different incarnations and locations, come back tanned with all kinds of tripped out stories and songs. On Saturday June 4th, A-Rock, Hatchmatik, and Merk Meny join forces for a final adventure to celebrate our love for the Drake and all of you wonderful wildabeasts that have made this night incredible throughout it’s twisted journey.” – Liam Thurston

We ran our night at The Drake Hotel in Toronto for almost five full years – and it was a tough decision to make but we have finally decided to end our monthly party. So many great nights and guests and memories were had over this time – thank you to everyone who came out and danced with us oh so many times – as Liam said we will be back soon!

Our final night entitled ‘PEER PRESSURE <3′S YOU’ was held on June 4th, 2011

Way back in April – wow I have been SLEEPING! – I headed out to Vancouver and Calgary for two shows.

First stop was in Vancouver at Fortune Sound Club for their Happy Ending Fridays

It was great to be back in Vancouver after not playing there for so long – thanks to GMAN, everyone at Fortune, and everyone who came out and danced.

Next up was Calgary where I looking forward to returning to play at one of my favorite clubs The Hi-Fi.

Ran into Montréal local young guns LUNICE, and JACQUES GREENE on their way back home to Montreal at the Calgary airport – PHOTO OP!

The show that night at the Hi-Fi was awesome and it was great to play alongside homey supreme Neoteric – he is the man behind The White Light Mix Series as well as a ton of other projects including being an A&R for Dubsided and managing Crookers – basically guy is the Kingpin.
