I just finished a new mix for the homeys over at Lookout (They put on some of the best events in Montréal including the Thursdays at Tokyo where I am a bi-weekly residanté)
It’s some pretty smoothed out house stuff – a good example of the vibe I’m bringing in a lot of my live sets these days, and I’m quite happy with it. Peep game here:
Toronto people A-Rock and I are on the train first thing tomorrow headed your way to play our monthly Peer Pressure party at The Drake Hotel – now entering its FIFTH YEAR!!!!
Thank you to everyone who’s come out over the years and to those that came and danced with us a few weeks ago at the FOUREVER YOURS anniversary party we all had a blast. We’re very excited about continuing to be in Toronto so often and I hope to see you all tomorrow night on the dancefloor!
For those of you who know the WeSC x Lookout BBQs at Tokyo are some of the best hangs of the summer – the patio is awesome and who wouldn’t love playing on a DJ booth made out of a BBQ. It’s all happening again tomorrow for one last time this summer so make sure you rsvp by noon tomorrow to get on the list and make sure you hit that open bar from 2-3pm. I will be playing alongside a slew of tip top locals like: CFCF, Seb Diamond, Phil Ad, Rilly Guilty, Truspin, Jay Watts III, Lexis, and DJ Cosmo. Don’t blow it!
If you’re in Montreal today then you probably know that Saint-Laurent is closed for the last street sale of the summer which means one last time we’re all going to eat way too many piri piri chicken sandwiches and not see our homes or beds too much for a couple days. Kicking off the weekend proper, my BFFs behind the legendary T33nW0lf tuesdays A-Rock and Shaydakiss are bringing the good times back to their old haunt Blizzarts and we’re all partying on the street and in the bar from 5pm onwards – if you’re roaming the main this evening come by and dance with us
I’m playing two shows this weekend the first is the 11th anniversary of Empire skateshop a veritable monster in the Québec skate and snow scene for over a decade now. I’m honored to be sharing the stage with hip hop legends NAUGHTY BY NATURE as well as number of other Montréal locals. It’s all going down at Telus Theatre AND LaMouche making one massive party in two huge rooms.
Tomorrow night I am proud to be returning to my main homegirl Shaydakiss’ monthly dance party at Velvet – LUXE. Every one so far has been a ton of fun and so many homeys have come out so I am really excited to get down in front of our local crowd and drop a bunch of new house and disco jams I have yet to unleash.
Last weekend in Toronto we celebrated the 4th anniversary of our monthly Peer Pressure party at The Drake Hotel
Here is a mixtape put together by all of us in honor of the night. Enjoy!
I’ve been quite slow on updating the site lately as I have been running around enjoying summer! That’s not to say though that I haven’t been working too – I’ve been spending a lot of time in Toronto working on new music and playing some amazing shows – namely my NXNE showcase with the homeys CLASSIXX from LA and an On The Run afterparty w/ my Peer Pressure partner A-Rock . I have recently finished a remix for Kele from Blocparty’s upcoming single ‘Everything You Wanted’ as well as some other commercial remix work under the name ‘JAMZ EARL JONES’ – stay tuned for updates on both those fronts.
This will be the second year I head down to play the Bard College BSO’s SPRING FLING party. This year I am super stoked that the show will also include Theophilus London and House of Ladosha. Peep the FACEBOOK EVENT PAGE for info but if you don’t attend Bard it’s not likely you will be attending.
HOWEVER
I am playing a party in the city Friday night at Europa in Greenpoint, BK.
As promised when I posted the sample of the visuals we shot for this show, here is some footage edited by Matthew Cameron shot by Ian Cameron (with the Canon 7D) from a show we did together on Nuit Blanche in Montreal’s Old Port.
It was supposed to be a party in a temporary dome for 400 people, but the dome blew away with a strong gust of wind. It ended up turning into a huge outdoor show with thousands of people everwhere.
